The mobile phone's on its last legs - the fully-charged battery ran out after a five minute conversation with
mouseboks the other day and doesn't want to recharge - but after a little investigation, it sounds like it's not actually the battery itself at fault...
Oh well. I'd been thinking about a new phone anyway. Any recommendations for good ones?

Black and chrome, the chrome actually *glows* (you have to see it really), small, swivels rather than folds, reasonable camera, Bluetooth headset comes with it. And it seems to be a decent phone too -- user interface is simple, nice big display, good predictive text.
Free on most of the contract options from Orange.

Date: 2004-10-01 03:17 am (UTC)Very small, only 10x4x1cm, and being a non-flip, non-twist phone with no moving parts it is very, very hard wearing. Also interchangable fasicas- although viewed by many as a chav fashion feature, I find interchangable covers very useful as I frequently drop the phone or put it in my pocket with my keys, resulting in scratching/chipping/breaking the cover. Cheap replacement fascias are available from www.mobilefun.co.uk .
My only other advice is to avoid Series 60, Symbian and 3G phones like the plague. They're slow, crash-prone and bulky.
More photos and comments from me here.
