Things I'm afraid of:
Surrendering to the apathy and never pulling free again.
Forgetting where the displacement activity stops and the things I really care about start.
Failing my friends when they need me.
The consequences of success.
Total failure.
Time.
Democracy slipping away without anyone noticing or caring.
Things that make you laugh:
Satire.
Gallows humour.

Love and loss.
Things I love:
That sudden moment of clarity when something complex finally makes sense.
Music.
Reading.
Lazy summer mornings lying in bed.
Cats.
Dogs. Well, some of 'em, anyway.

Why people like horses. Or rabbits, for that matter.
Lager.
