So. I'm not terribly fond of Marvel's "Avengers Disassembled" crossover. It just seems to be killing minor characters for shock value and/or "the hell of it". Possibly as some sort of substitute for a coherent plot.

And then they advertise it with this...

Wow. I mean... how tacky is that? Especially as it's pretty clear that about half of the remaining characters - the ones with their own books and/or movies, basically - aren't going to suffer any permanent harm.

The 'funny' tone of the epitaphs doesn't help much either.

Still not impressed.

Tacky is the mot juste, all right. I don't care for the "screw this ensemble shit, we don't care about minor characters" attitude either.
