The ghosts of gods and working men

I caught the Rowan Williams lecture on TV last night. I'm quite impressed. He's eloquent, rational and intelligent. He also reminds me of
cyberinsekt, which is odd - I think it's the voice and the beard. :)
Christmas present from
imago arrived this morning, and has been living in the CD player since - it's the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France version of Olivier Messiaen's "La Transfiguration". It's complex and unsettling, the perfect soundtrack for something awe-inspiring and scary (which, I guess, is precisely what it's intended to be). I like.
Yesterday also saw another comics binge. The Lucifer 'Inferno' story (very, very nicely done - it gets better every issue), 100 Bullets, Power Company (Kurt Busiek's new DC project - not yet as good as Astro City, but promising...) and...
...the return of Devlin Waugh to the JD Megazine, in a direct sequel to the first Devlin story. With painted art from Colin MacNeil. Oh yes.
