Attempting to make my own chicken stock. Something which I've never actually attempted before.

However, I do have chicken remains in the freezer, a couple of fresh chicken wings from the local butcher and a selection of stock veg. Let's see how this goes...

Should be fine. My top tip is that once you've got everything in and the water up to the boil, turn it riiiiight down so it barely simmers, and skim off any scum from the surface. That way you end up with a nice clear stock.

It's happily blibblng along at that bare simmer right now. And my kitchen now has that appetising smell of chicken. This is probably a good start... :)

Awesome. I see many great soups in your future.

My top tip is to make very sure that, when you think it's done, you don't go on to auto-pilot, catch all the bones neatly in a colander, and throw your stock down the sink :)

(I've never done it - though a housemate of mine once did - but I've come close a few times.)
