I'm feeling a little more festive after opening today's post - my first Christmas card of the year, from Kath & Peter at the Storrbeck. Which is especially nice since I didn't actually end up staying there this year.

The other letter was from the RSC (who seem to think I'm a General, for some odd reason), to inform me that David Tennant has withdrawn from Hamlet. I think I was already aware of that - and the letter forgot to mention that André Tchaíkowsky has also been replaced by an understudy...

I only realised this is what you meant, some time afterwards. After first imagining two Hamlets, and then presuming you meant that Laertes also was replaced.
