Bonekickers, episode 2.
Jul. 17th, 2008 09:31 pmMissed it on Tuesday, just watched it on iplayer. Better.
Still cheesy, but definitely better (I have to agree with sneerpout, I think).
Not sure that next week's looks quite so entertaining, but I'll be watching it again anyway... :-)

b) Seemed to be a very close friend of the candidate in one or two scenes. I'm sure the slash fic has already started... :)

Date: 2008-07-18 10:36 am (UTC)I was a bit dubious about episode one because of the treatment of religion (not so much ham-handed as 'each arm consists of an entire pig') and because the characters seemed a bit flat, but I liked episode two a whole lot more. It's the perfect thing to watch when you're feeling a bit tired and fragile and want the world to sod off for a bit. Also, I am convinced that the ongoing background business with the swords is going to lead to them finding Excalibur.
Maybe if they get a second season there will be enough of a budget for them to go and arse about in Egypt or South America. Or for the BBC to try to make a quarry outside Bath look like Egypt or South America, which would also be entertaining.
