From Lying in The Gutters -

"I understand that Neil Gaiman has been approached to write for the popular TV series "Doctor Who," for broadcast in 2010."

If true, full marks to Steven Moffat for making the offer.  If Rob Shearman's coming back too... well, I won't be complaining about that, either. Dalek is still the best Dalek story that the new series has managed so far.

(If you don't get the context for "pleading the Francis", btw, it's a reference to House of Cards - which is very definitely worth watching...)

I saw this the other day and thought "Hm, he didn't really answer that question, did he?"

As I commented on the LJ feed of Neil's blog at the time, he's been not answering that question for some time now. I heard him not answer it last year.

You know he'd love to do it - it's just a question of his other commitments.

Now that would rock so much.

Ah, House of Cards was awesome. It was on in the days when they would occasionally broadcast foreign films/tv series in dual channel (choose the channel, either original language or dub but only mono) but then everyone wanted stereo so that technology was sadly dropped and in Germany nothing is ever subtitled, only dubbed.
That was when my English was already good enough to understand the intricacies and it also contributed some material for my studies.
