...y'know, I'm still not sure what I think of the show.
It has moments of pure genius. Girls Aloud and the Shaolin Wedgy, for example. But the Freebies themselves - I know they're meant to be walking cartoon characters, outlandish even when judged against the rest of the world... but they just don't work for me.
Aside from that though... hmm...

Date: 2008-02-22 11:05 am (UTC)But I can't help thinking that it was all a bit early 90's. Perhaps Carter USM's 90's revival has arrived, but in reality I suspect that if I'm 36, and I think something's cool, then the youth of today probably think it's dire.
That probably sums BBC3 up; middle aged people trying to be cool, but actaully being "Embarrasing Dad".
