The new Fortnum & Mason Christmas catalogue arrived in the post today. Their Christmas hampers are always interesting - but as this year is their tercentenary, they're taking things one or two steps further than usual...

The Tercenturian Hamper.

The printed catalogue provides a slightly better sales pitch than the website, but I'm sure you get the idea.

And no, I'm not sending you one for Christmas. Sorry.

HOW MUCH! For a bunch of poncy groceries that wouldn't add up to that amount if you bought them all seperatly and stuck em in a laundry basket!

The sad fact is...the people who buy these are big corporate multi nationals...to hand out to there favourite customers....I know this...because thats what the NEC does...

One of the catalogues got sent out to the previous occupants of my flat, so I thought I'd have a browse over dinner. I was utterly revolted when I hit that page and the catalogue went straight in the bin. The £150 hampers are totally overpriced, but kind of charming - that one is just obscene.
