OMFG, I used to absolutely adore the Highwayman, I was beginning to think I'd imagined it!

Like the Max Headroom series, it's one of those things they really ought to officially release on DVD. I'd be one of the three people who bought it. :)

Oh god yes.
Although it'd be bound to be absolute rubbish and would spoil all nostalgia!

I loved the Max Headroom sci-fi series, but I wonder if it will have stood the test of time, now I've read more widely, seen similar concepts since. I was always a fan of Scarlet Fantastic's No Memory too.

I have no memory of this "Highwaymen" and it sounds dreadful.

Scarlet Fantastic, on the other hand, I remember well. I think I have their album. Isn't that Maggie deMonde, the drummer from from Swansway?

It's odd to see the London shots in the video. I only remember the prison shots. Oh well.

Actually I not only remember the Highwayman, I bought the dvd set from raretv. Basically looks like they burned it off someone videoing it off the telly as it has never been released on video / dvd or to my knowledge been repeated.
