The Sontarans.

Not entirely unexpected. I would have preferred Ice Warriors, mind you, but...

I wonder who's writing it? Not RTD, I hope.

Didn't we already see them in series 29? Oh, wait, that was the Judoon.

Oh, god, not them again. They have already been revived once and wasted (the Two Doctors). I only hope they have some sort of real plot for them, rather than the throw away use of the Macra recently.

I was hoping the Macra revival actually served a purpose. I mean, they're pretty damn obscure... if fondly remembered as a 'lost story' monster by some people.

The only justification I could see for reviving them in that way is giving 'em a cameo and using the name before revisiting them in more depth later on.

But this somehow seems unlikely.

Could be worse. Could be either The Rutans, or even Kandy Man! (*shudder*)

Hopefully, no more bloody Daleks.

Now, I would like to see the White and Black Guardians make a comeback. Pity Valentine Dyall is dead.

On a cheery note, I've just acquired the Key to Time series on DVD. Happy now. :)

I don't recall you mentioning before (i.e. during the uni years) about being such a big Dr Who fan, Mr W.

Have I just forgotten, did you keep it quiet, or have you converted in the intervening years?

A bit of all three, probably. I was certainly a fan of the old series at the time - I may have borrowed a few Tom Baker taped-from-tv videos from people, and I still had fond memories of watching 'em first time around.

But without new episodes, it probably didn't get quite so much discussion.

The revival probably helped. So did the DVD releases and sharing houses with [livejournal.com profile] mrbear and [livejournal.com profile] jambon_gris, who are both fans...

Ah. I see.

Hello fellow Dr Who fans. *Makes secret Dr Who wave*

Ahhh, yes. With the Kroll Synchronised Aerobics Team *grin*.

I didn't realise it was now out on DVD. Notes to self - look out for it (not a Massive Tom Baker fan, but I liked that set).
