Wave-Gotik-Treffen, day zero

I'm in Leipzig.

Now, you might ask why, if I'm in Leipzig, I'm wasting time posting to LJ. That would be because I really, really need to rant. Simple enough answer.

• Left London with colfish and blooddoll3, got to Luton, queued for a stupid length of time before finally reaching check-in.
• Got train from Berlin to Leipzig. Got delayed for quite some time outside Leipzig, due to a bomb scare(?) at Leipzig station...
• Finally reached Leipzig to find that nobody had a map showing where our hotel was. Within walking distance of station, yes, but which direction? This was easy enough to resolve, though.
• Reached hotel to find that they'd cancelled our booking, as we were late, and had just rented our rooms to someone else. Lost my sense of humour at this point.
• Got taxi from hotel to other hotel, which they'd phoned and arranged alternative rooms (for all five nights) with.
• ...checked into second hotel, to discover that they thought we were only staying for one night, then moving back into first hotel for the other four nights...?

The saga continues. But right now, beer takes priority.

Would it have made a difference if you had called to tell them about the delays? Obviously, the bomb scare was not your fault.
