Two questions for those of you who take an interest in such things.

Firstly, does anyone know anywhere this side of the Atlantic that still stocks Alaskan Smoked Porter? I haven't seen any for a year or two . :-/

Secondly, on a similar theme - Smokehead single malt whisky. Anyone tried it? Is it worth sampling? I was considering picking up a bottle for Whitby.

Thank'ee...

I've never even heard of it. If it's south Islay, though, it's from the Laphroaig, Lagavulin, Ardbeg or Port Ellen distillery. No age given.

Not heard of Smokehead before, but it looks interesting from the website.

On a similar note, the 15yo Laphroaig that Sainsbury's (amongst others) are currently flogging is rather good... in fact I've been buying it in preference to Talisker recently, so it must be really good!
