I suspect we'll hear more. It's been referenced in every episode so far, after all - and it's almost certainly going to be the Big Plot for this (or possibly next) season.
Zombies in 19th century Cardiff, which turned out to be aliens animating corpses and trying to escape their own doomed world through a 'weak spot' in timespace. Another one which started funny and then had some very bleak moments...
Not a lot of arc stuff in there - more mention of the "time war" and a comment that "time is in flux" (hmmm...) from the Doctor. So all bets are off, basically.
Oh, and Simon Callow doing (as you'd expect...) an excellent turn as Dickens.
There are twists and spoilers too, but I'll save them for another post - and you don't really want to know 'til you've seen it, do you? :)
I liked this one, it's a vast improvement on the 'end of the world, nothing really happens' episode. And the Doctor (Tom Baker's Doctor) knew Da Vinci, so it wasn't too odd to see Dickens as a characcter.
Nice to see the modern show uses more extras. That's the only odd thing about some of the earlier shows; even in cities the Doctor only meets about a dozen people!
