Mutton dressed as mutton

Wandered through a local Asda[1] the other day and was vaguely surprised to see mutton on sale. In fact, I'm not sure I've ever seen mutton on sale in a mainstream British supermarket.
It looks like Asda's just launched a range of halal meats and this is now one of 'em. Viewed from that angle, I'm surprised it took them so long to start doing this.
