So, am I right in thinking that Arkam Asylum have just renamed themselves Arkasai?

It looks that way from www.arkasai.com - although there's no clear statement about it, just a mention that their first album was released "(as 'Arkam Asylum')" [surely so was Running With Scissors, but they don't mention that...?]- but the WF site still lists them as Arkam Asylum.

Yeah, it's true... although they're still Arkam Asylum at the moment, their future stuff will be released as Arkasai. I'll direct Amon to your question and he'll probably have a better answer....

You know, in the good old days of Usenet, there would have been three entertaining weeks full of uninformed flamewars before someone actually bothered to ring the roadie's girlfriend's cat's vet to get confirmation.

Whereas these days no less than three people from the same record label, including the singer from the band himself, answered within one hour, before even one single non-associated fan had the chance to gossip.

Where's the fun in that, eh? Pah, Bah and Meh, I tell you.
