Underworld. Not exactly a triumph of film making. Cheesy as hell. I can see why WW are thinking of suing them. But still kinda fun.

Except the werewolves running (slowly) along the walls. It worked well as a striking image when they did that with the monsters in Aliens, but big bulky furry things just don't seem as suited to it. Anyway, I still reckon they'd weigh too much, and would just plunge to the floor in a shower of broken plaster...

Talking of films, go and see Cypher, 'coz it's brilliant (if you haven't yet). I think we might go see it soon. Soon as I heard "..a war between Vampires & Werewolves has been raging for centuries...", I thought "hmmm..., that sounds familiar...".

to give them their due, on the budget they had it was a triumph of sorts; some of the best effects work i've seen in a long time, a decent cast (witness bill nighy!), a plot, good soundtrack that doesn't take over the film - all for no more than a fifth of the buget of the matrix!
