Once again, they tried to deliver something when we weren't in - then returned it to their local office without leaving any note to tell us that they'd got it. D'oh.

I've just today got a refund from Amazon for an order I placed on 10th July. They gave it to ParcelForce, who stored it at Coventry for a while without even attempting to deliver it (at least, if they tried, they didn't bother to put a card through the door to say so) and then returned it to Amazon, who "can't" re-dispatch returned orders.
