It was the last day before I went on holiday to WGW, they had no holiday cover, I was halfway through six different things (including the overall spec for a prototype build that'd take place before I got back) and, generally, the pain involved in working late is less than the pain involved in getting back and finding that it's all gone wrong, or its not happened at all, and I'm being blamed for it since I "vanished without leaving any instructions"...
Of course, if we had two product development engineers, this wouldn't be such a problem. But, as it is, there's just me. And nobody's quite sure what I do until I go away and stop doing it, if you see what I mean...
