Meanwhile, back in darkest Coventry, I seem to have an applicant for the role of Timeshare Cat (...it was only a couple of days back that I was moaning about the absence of one. He must have heard me). Unfortunately, he keeps sitting outside the French windows and mewing - and they're more-or-less nailed shut, so I won't be letting him in that way. And if I wander round to the back door, he assumes I've abandoned him and buggers off again. Bah, cats. :)
