mrph | Befuddled and bemused

Some people I don't know - or at least people I don't think I know (I don't recognise them from their LJ info) - now have me down as a friend on LJ. This is not at all a bad thing, and is actually rather nice, but is also a new and vaguely strange experience for me. :)

So, if you'll forgive the lack of etiquette. Er... bitterlyangelic? clephan? Do I know you?

In other news, the world is grey and dreary. I'm spending most of the day curled up in front of the fire with a cup of tea, a good book and a Leonard Cohen CD playing.

The day is too dull and oppressive to do anything more constructive. Especially as the bad news seems to be racking up by the hour.

I really hate Autumn at moments like this, times when I'm stuck indoors and in the city. The artificial light is too yellow, the skies are too dark and it's cold and damp. Yechh.
