Well, despite meeting a few times, we've never really spent much time together socially. However, your knowledge of the scene and it's music never fails to impress me. Also, your reporting of what happens in the scene is always well considered, even and fair...and for that I applaud you.

Without knowing who you are, that's a tricky one to answer...

Generally, though, I'm quite happy to butcher my friends list. So if you're on there then the odds are you're someone I know and like, or someone I don't know that well, but would quite like to know better.

There are still two people on there who I've never met and who completely confuse me - one of whom no longer posts - but I think they probably fall under "would quite like to know better" too...

This doesn't mean I agree with you on [topic], of course - I disagree with a lot of people on there about a lot of things - but that's neither here nor there.

I think that's the kind of proposal that's difficult to answer when you don't know who's asking. It also depends on the type of jam involved. :-)
