The new Faith & The Muse album seems to be due next spring. I wonder what the odds of getting them back to the UK (not Slimelight) as part of the album launch tour are?

Looks like we also get a new Nick Cave album in February - but probably without any live shows to support it. *sulk*

Still no more detail on the Sunshine Blind website, though - new album late 2002/early 2003, but it's been saying that for a while now. :-(

The udnerworld seemed to suit them.

Mmm, I was thinking that it might. Aside from the Union Chapel (which would require a lot of money/confidence, and a really impressive line-up), it's probably the best London venue available for them.

They could probably fill the Garage, but it's not the most atmospheric place, IMO.

But F&TM at the chapel - maybe with Seventh Harmonic, Mantra (if anyone can find them :), Waterglass and/or Descendants of Cain in the support line-up, now that'd be something...

I'm unsurprised to hear this. :)

Hopefully it's good news. And feel free to tell me by e-mail, of course.. :-)

Hopefully Faith & the Muse have spent enough time in the UK to realise just how sucky a venue Slimelight is. I still don't rate the odds of getting them back in the country unless the band themselves are really keen.

Live Nick Cave dates would be a good thing, though.

Well, they're getting very good money from European festivals, so asking them to do another round of pub gigs in the UK may not be that tempting. A decent sized UK gig (or WGW/DJ/Malediction) might lure them here if they were in Europe anyway, but I doubt they'd be cheap.

As for Mr Cave - he supposedly claims he's too old?! ;)

Lives in Brighton you know. Goes in the comic shop.

No fucking excuse for not playing live.
