Womb, R.I.P.
Oct. 1st, 2002 03:12 amI've just posted (most of) this to uk.people.gothic, but I thought I'd share it with you, too...
I just had a look at the Womb website, to see if there was any new info,
and the following messages are now there...
"1. various distributors have stolen most of the remaining copies of
both womb albums, and are refusing to pay the artist.
2. g ferrari will not be releasing any further material under the
name womb, nor will there be any further gigs"
3. womb cds can be obtained by sending one english pound to g.ferrari"
[address snipped]
4. a post-womb release of new material is scheduled for 2003.
further details to follow."
To which I say, "feck" (in a loud Father Jack voice). There goes another
interesting UK band - and judging from #1, not in a happy way, either.
It's good, quirky, guitar-based stuff. So if you haven't got the albums and like that sort of thing, it really is worth sending the poor bloke two quid.
See http://www.geocities.com/womb_hang/ for details.
...and I say again, "feck". What is this, "exit stage left" week for
bands? First D.U.S.T., now this...
