While I'll agree with mhw and drivenapart that the World Cup hype is overwhelming and tiresome, I'm enjoying the football itself. And after seeing Ireland and Belgium both lose at the last minute, despite consistently good play, it was just so nice to see South Korea beat Italy.

Especially as the Korean player who scored the winning goal was the poor git who'd previously missed a penalty. :-)

Yep. Irish author, Irish setting (well, for some of it...), Irish protagonist. I just wonder how/if the film's going to work...

I hope it isnt too twee.....always worries me about Irish films.....
