Ten minutes to go, and I'm going to spend them saying goodbye to people. The desk is clear, all the non-work stuff is deleted from the PC, the address book is emptied.

Most people have gone already. So, this is it. I'm unemployed again, about nine years after the last time. Feh.

Oh well, if nothing else it should be interesting. For a bit. Time to go.

Exit, stage left.

Listen: the people you want to keep in touch with you will, and the people you never want to see again you won't have to!

And how could such a techie spod be out of work for long?

Exit, stage left.

Now, why does that make me want to hum the Horatii's 'The Poisoner'?

It's the end of a chapter, which is always weird and bittersweet whatever the chapter itself was like. But you will be fine.

Exit, stage left

Always reminds me of Snagglepuss...

Well, aside from the fact that it's one of my favourite songs, it is terribly appropriate. Although I didn't poison anyone, or leave them any other nasty presents.

More generally, do I look like the sort of person who'd poison angels for kicks? Is mine not a face you can trust? Honestly, some people... :)

Always reminds me of [livejournal.com profile] labyrinth_lizzy, who used to quote the "Exit stage left, pursued by a bear" stage direction from Shakespeare (Winter's Tale, iirc) at people.

Its going to feel so odd next week, walking around the building and half the people not there. At least I have a full wall to wall stock take to keep me busy. :(

Why do I feel that there are only idiots left at the company now?

Because the IT market is currently really bad.

That's got to be a really unflattering feeling... *hides*
