...that the highpoint of my day so far was probably glancing through a comic in Forbidden Planet and realising that Marvel UK's flagship character Death's Head II appears to be back (if only for a cameo)?

(...yes, yes it is...)

A good decision on their part, yes?

"Surprise appearance, yes?!"

Just one of many reasons to enjoy [livejournal.com profile] paulcornell2's Captain Britain and MI:13 series. :)

Is there any word on them actually collecting the Death's Head II material at any stage? It was awesome when they did the DH I stuff.

Panini have been remarkably good at collecting the old Marvel UK stuff - Dragon's Claws and the complete Captain Britain as well as Death's Head - so I wouldn't be too surprised.

And they've just announced a first volume of The Knights of Pendragon, so I'm now officially happy. :)

Incidentally, Abnett and Lanning, who wrote most (all?) of the DHII stuff, are currently writing Nova and Guardians of the Galaxy for Marvel US.

I'm not really following the books, but I gather that a certain Dr Necker has just reappeared in Nova, along with her 'Minion' project...
