Y'know, it would be deeply unpleasant if the 456 'ambassador' wasn't actually one of the 456. If it was actually one of the stolen and 'modified' children from their first visit, for example...

After all, they must be doing something with them - and using them as slaves / raw material would seem the most likely option. I'm still a bit curious as to how our heroes are going to 'win' this one, too - so far, they may be able to defeat Whitehall, but they seem to be lacking anything that can actually reach and defeat an alien race...
