...well, evidently I shouldn't, as I've just come back from an Attrition gig which I rather enjoyed (support band Novus UK, who I hadn't seen before, were - unsurprisingly - a little reminiscent of Faithful Dawn. This is no bad thing...). I guess I'm just in an upbeat fluff mood right now...

Oh, and Attrition's side-project Imprint covered Love Will Tear Us Apart - not actually sure whether I liked it or not, which must actually be a vote of confidence given how much I like the original. Although I now need to listen to lots of Joy Division, just to counterbalance the cover and fluff... :)

Try Julie Marcell as well. I recently got her debut CD free from Amazon to review. It's quite interesting - singer songwriter stuff, but the music is played on mainly cellos and other such string instruments.

But my current favourite is a girl called Laura Marling.
