Well, that was certainly a very Bonker-er-Bonekickers end to the season. Quite enjoyed it, though.

Probably not enough to buy it on DVD, but certainly enough to watch season two, if it happens...

Seems likely. Although the Guardian was keen on a second season - and Torchwood, iirc, got a similar mauling after season one, with similar "It was crap but a bit crazy, let's have more" comments from some journalists.

Can I be really, really cheeky and ask a massive favour? I've heard that tickets for Hamlet are still available to RSC members, is there any chance you could book two tickets for me, for any evening performance apart from 12th-14th Dec (as I'm in Belgium). I can't afford to stump up for a membership in order to book the tickets, but I was sorely tempted!

This might be problematic. I've signed in and taken a look at the booking pages...

On the individual performance pages:

"Although tickets are on sale, this performance of Hamlet is currently not available online. Please contact the RSC Box Office at 0844 800 1114 to purchase tickets."

And on the overview page:

"This production is currently only available to RSC Members. Public booking opens 12 September 2008.

RSC Members should call the Box Office for ticket availability (max. four tickets per Member)."

I've got 24 tickets for this listed against my membership so I suspect they don't want to sell me any more. Sorry. :-/

I can always try to phone them tomorrow, although that might be a bit cheeky, but I think I already know what they'll say.
