Enough to keep me happy. Not so sure about Cilla Black, mind you. :)

It would be a tough call for anybody! Haven't looked at it all yet, but choosing the Beach Boys Today! over Pet Sounds is a curious choice.

They explain why they did that: Second, where there was a good alternative to the blindingly obvious album, we went for the alternative. After all, who needs to be told, yet again, to buy Revolver or Pet Sounds?

Very mixed bag, but interesting. For every Isn't Anything there's a Scissor Sisters. Much as you'd expect, really.

A quick glance shows it's missing a lot of my "You haven't heard this??? What is wrong with you??" albums. And in a lot of the cases, the artists entirely.

The only sort of hit list she should be on is entirely different.

I agree with malal. There were some bands on there that don't deserve to be and others missing completely that should be there. And some of the choices of which album were "huh?"

Floodland? Pah! First & Last & Always is by far the better album. From Pulp I prefer We Love Life to Different Class.

I know it's a new one, but Madeline Peyroux's Half The Perfect World is amazing, definitely my favourite album of the moment. It's a shame they missed that one. Her versions of Leonard Cohen's 'Blue alert' and Tom Waits 'Looking for the heart of Saturday night' are just beautiful.

They chose Unhalfbricking for Fairport Convention when the clear choice for Fairport is Liege and Lief.

No. I mean, where are the Yes albums? There are at least two in the 70s which represent the best (and the most extravagant) of prog rock - Tales from Topographic Oceans, and Relayer. If you are going to experience the way music has changed over the decades, to ignore Yes is unforgiveable.
