The morning after the night before...
Apr. 14th, 2007 01:28 pmThat was fun. I danced far too much, drank a certain amount and generally enjoyed myself a great deal.
I have to admit that I wasn't terribly social - I was a bit tired when I arrived and didn't wake up until I'd been dancing for a bit, but I'm not convinced that this was entirely a bad thing. Turning up without Mob does leave you able to do this without feeling that you're abandoning anyone, after all.
Nice venue - comfortable chairs, balcony, tables, decent beer. The only complaint was that this time the dancefloor was a little too central, between door, stairs and bar... There may have been some collateral damage at the edges, although hopefully not due to me.
Wasn't entirely impressed by the bar's Mojito, mind you. Too much sugar that hadn't dissolved, so a little too sweet... and a bit like drinking gravel.
On the plus side - lots of Carter USM tracks and some wide grins from the people dancing to 'em.Someoneeveryone may have been chanting "you fat bastard" at some point, but it was still the calmest dancefloor I've seen for Sheriff Fatman in a very long time.
'twas good. And I reckon I was almost solidly on the dancefloor from 10pm to 2am.
I'm spending today preparing for the opera and generally recovering. In a restaurant. As you do. A certain amount of pig, goat and seed cake is being consumed. :)
Although, y'know, I feel I may need a proper Mojito at some point. Just to remind me what it should taste like...

Date: 2007-04-14 04:06 pm (UTC)I like mine relatively bitter, but... it sounds as if you could average the two and get a decent drink.
Unfortunately, I gave in to temptation. I'm now in a hotel bar, drinking an excellent Vanilla Mojito. Ooops. :)
