"I've just passed wicket!"

What are they trying to tell you? Is it obvious? And is it more (or less) obvious if I name the person responsible as dmh? :)

Um. I don't want to scare you, but you do seem to be on the right mental wavelength here...

He'd just bumped into Warwick Davies. In Cambridgeshire rather than on Endor, though, and he didn't mention whether or not furry suits were involved.
