Well, it has to be said that I'm more and more convinced that it's the people, not the official events, that keep me going to Whitby. The Friday night line-up this time was a real bonus, mind you - I'm an established D.U.S.T. and Swarf fan, plus I'd been wanting to see Rome Burns for ages (and they didn't disappoint).
I think the Cov goth mob thing (which is, more accurately, a Heretics / Cov.goth + Brizzle goth + SGC + Ex-Cov goth mob thing) helps, though. We didn't have a meal this time, but we did the T-shirt thing, and you could usually find at least a couple of us in the Elsinore at any given point. It, oh, I dunno (drivenapart?), I think it provides a bit of security/stability in the emotional whirlwind that is Whitby. If that makes any sense. Plus, I guess, a very high proportion of us turn up.
*grin*

Hmm. Something to think on. :)
