...just because this bit of news surprised me and I feel the need to share. A while back, Marvel Comics handed over their UK operations to Panini.

I wasn't expecting anything too interesting to come from this, but as well as republishing Marvel's most popular superhero comics for sale at UK newsagents, Panini have been printing collected editions of some of the more interesting Marvel UK comics - things that Marvel themselves have never managed to reprint in collections...

So far, we've had two volumes of early Captain Britain stories (with a third one to follow) and two volumes of Death's Head. Not a bad start - and a very sensible start, if you're looking to gauge interest...

They've just announced their next collection - Dragon's Claws.

I may be the only person who remembers this one. Ten issues of dystopian adventure in the grim 82nd century. The seas have dried, the land is desert and Blackpool's a no-go zone inhabited by gothic psychopaths...

It's not an amazing comic - it definitely had its flaws - but it was good fun and it'll be good to see it back in print.

Now, if they'll just follow that up by reprinting the first run of The Knights of Pendragon, then I'll be really happy... :)
