I've been watching Dr Who again.
Near the start of 'The Doctor Dances', Jack mentions that his blaster is from 'Vilingarde' (or somewhere rather like that). It's from the 50th century.
The Talons Of Weng Chiang, back in the Tom Baker days, mentioned that the 50th century is the time of the great Icelandic empire. Magnus Greel and all of that.
