Godwin's Law: goth addendum

In any given flame war, the first person to scream "Goth politics! they're all out to get me..." is the one who looks silliest. If they mean that a specific person has an axe to grind, they should say so (or, alternatively, shut up and fume in a less public way).

It's a small step from goth politics rants to JFK assassination theories, black helicopters and alien lizards. Just don't go there.
