So here I am, waiting for my flight. My worldly wealth is £1.33 and I'm really hoping that there's a working cashpoint (and cash in my account - the German cashpoints haven't let me do a balance enquiry...) to be found at Birmingham International. I'm hot. I've got a sore throat. Everyone I was with has just left to catch the London flight, the departure lounge is a ittle too warm and filled with squawking kids (plus the occasional jingling goth) and my people tolerance is currently very low. The only people I do currently want to see aren't here.

So, was it fun? Oh yes. And I'll be doing it all over again next year.

As ever, they decided to check my boots very carefully before letting me through. The flight (on a 737) was short and simple - and ahead of schedule, arriving quite some time before a bus was available.

Not been to this airport before. It's big, and busy - but not as irritating as Leipzig, possibly because there are less kids and everyone seems to be going somewhere, not loudly yammering. Flights up on the board right now include Tokyo, Beiruit, Zagreb, Seoul and Alexandria. I think l like it here. Just one jingling goth (several were on my first flight) can still be detected, glimpsed on the other side of the lounge. It's quite a long wait, this time. Calmer now - my phone's working, so I've swapped "still alive, so far" texts with [livejournal.com profile] snow_leopard, and I've been reading The Golden Cat on the flight.

Just realised that I'm travelling completely alone at the moment. No friends, no random UK goths. It's actually quite a pleasant feeling. Possibly this means I'm weird. Or just feeling antisocial. :-)

Back. Will reply to interview questions tomorrow - and will probably bore you all with word of my travels, too. Arming me with a Psion may not have been the brightest move, as it contains a lot of witterings to be uploaded.

So, how have you lot been? I'll eventually go read my Friends page to find out, but catching up on five days of that could take a little while. And sleep takes priority. :)
