Last year's resolutions, revisited...
Jan. 2nd, 2003 04:26 pmLJ makes this far too easy. The resolutions for 2002 were...
1) Get the DIY and general repair work on the house done. Somewhere between "failed" and "certainly not an unqualified success", I think. The collapsing kitchen ceiling certainly didn't help. On the other hand, I now have a new heating system and burglar alarm. It's a start. This is in my 2003 list, too.
2) Nuke the garden. From orbit. It's the only way to be sure. This also includes garage repairs/rebuild, and replacing the last remnants of the original (broken) fence. Nuked. The fence is still a problem (I did some fixes but the recent storm did more damage...), but the garden is clear and the garage is now secure and usable again - still needs some work on the hinges and some tidying, though.
3) More proper cooking, less junk food. Well, there was definitely less junk food. But the replacement wasn't "proper" cooking, it was subsistence level food. This is back in the '03 list.
4) Avoid bankruptcy. Success. Just about. ;)
5) Have fun, take it easy, enjoy the year. Y'know, I did. It had some definite low points, but still... it was fun. *grin*
