Edinburgh Goth Weekend, 2003?

Just saw this on Netgoth.

Looks interesting - well, as interesting as it can look without any actual details, shame it's only two weeks before the Morecambe one. Still...

It's kind o' nice to see that there are more "local" festivals springing up these days. This, Morecambe, Dark Jubilee (even if it was a one-off), the Dublin one in a couple of weeks...

I was supposed to be out seeing The Chameleons in London tonight, but my cashflow doesn't seem to be supporting that plan (no surprise there, then).

So I'm in, listening to Interpol's "Turn On The Bright Lights" instead. Which, musically, isn't so very different - there are definitely some Chameleonish moments in there. Plus a few other things that make me think "hey, who the hell does that remind me of?" (in particular, the frantic guitars on Say Hello To The Angels make me think of one of those old goth songs that I know, probably own, and have danced to hundreds of times... but can't name right now for the life of me).

Called by mrbear's earlier, retrieving the CD player and beer I left there after WGW. I was meaning to retrieve the Chartreuse, too. But then we found a simpler solution to that. :)
