Heh. That was fun. Anyone know where it measured on the Richter scale?

You know what I find most interesting? Those links on the side, that indicate that this is almost *precisely* two years since a previous earthquake in the region.

...and just over a year since one in the Bristol channel. That's just South of Wales, and Wales seems to have felt this one, too. I'll be interested to see where the epicentre is.

This is the first one I've actually noticed here, too - so either it's a little stronger than previous tremors or I've been asleep/elsewhere for them.

I'm in Bristol and didn't feel anything here.

I could have just been sleeping, though I sleep so badly that I would have thought it would wake me up.

Aha. There were only two paragraphs there ("There's just been a tremor. More details to follow" stuff) when I posted the link - the Beeb's been updating...

Typical. I slept through the entire thing. I went to bed at midnight and missed it... again.

The earth probably moved for me but I was asleep. Typical.

Unfortunately I must have slept through it. Although Dave and I did see them blow up the gasholder in preparation for the new stadium - at 6.45am on Sunday! We leant out of the upstairs window and could see it perfectly!

How shakey was the earthquake then?

Very shakey for us - it shook the house, windows rattled and an internal door popped open.
The one two years ago woke me up as well, so I figured what it was.

I was intending to watch this as well from my upstairs window but I slept through that as well. The people next door got woke up by it! Once I get to sleep I will sleep through anything.

I slept through it, which is unusual for me as I usually wake up. We used to get them fairly regularky in Joburg - what with the mines etc.
My rats seemed a little jumpy and clingy this morning though.
