I've just noticed that this week's Guardian Guide gives a very good review to 'Moya', a Slovak restaurant in Oxford (at 97 St Clements Street, to be precise). And, well, some of you probably know how much I like decent Eastern European food... :-)

...the grub itself is splendid, an interesting mix of traditional Slovak and, well, something the chef thought was a good idea (it generally is). The great soups - garlic chicken and lentil - fall into the former category, as do the venison medallions which, served Slav-style, means bacon, red wine, red current jelly and wild mushrooms - delicious!

Would any Oxford people or foodies be interested in a trip there, at some point in the next month or three?

Hmm. I really ought to visit Oxford again soon, regardless - it's been ages. I'm starting to forget what [livejournal.com profile] sushidog and [livejournal.com profile] diffrentcolours look like...
