To all things, an ending
Aug. 20th, 2002 12:35 amSo, that was the last session of my Amber RPG (or, at least, of this section of it). 33 nights of intrigue and carnage (er, and innuendo and snackfood). And how did it end...? Well...
I think it finished ok. Dworkin and Suhuy seemed to come across the way I'd intended. Nox was cold and rational, in its own very determined way. Cain weaved in and out of things, striking from cover (I think they're still not-quite-sure about this bit... LOL), while Delwin was egocentric, arrogant and manipulating things from afar. And the fights didn't go badly. I still don't like running combat, but this seemed to go ok - Khan was skewered by an expendable evil duplicate, Xavier (just) beat Luke, Llewella lost to Gale and (finally, after everything else had fallen) Franz was basically a mercy killing, decaying with every step, by the time Xavier reached him.
Oh, and Lucien and Steve surprised me at the very end. Which will throw a twist into whatever comes next...
