Boots, mythical?

For those who remember me posting this, this or this...

They still haven't arrived. But the order celebrated its first birthday this week. I am just a little bit unimpressed.

If I ever do make it to Intrusion again, I'm now likely to beat poor old Dok to death with a shoehorn (I know it's not his fault, it's the suppliers - but I can't nag them about it in clubs...). Grrr.

Depends on how much you need those particular boots, I suppose :)

Ah, but they already have my money. Well, 90% of it, as I got a 10% refund for the order running late, about six months back...

Damn. I really really want to order a pair of these, but your experience is certainly putting me off. Do you think I should give up. Or is the fact that mine are discounted likely to mean that they actually have them physically in stock...

I wouldn't worry too much. I managed to order an awkward style in an awkward material (I have a knack for this sort of thing), which seems to be the source of my problems - Dok and Katrina had to get them custom-made, and the factory was being a bit uncooperative, from the sound of it...

Other stuff - especially discount stuff - has been far less troublesome, in my experience.
