Oh, the hell with it. Whitby will be fun.

...if I ever finish packing, that is. Anyone seen a stetson boot?

I can understand that. What with beer being an essential part of WGW it would be a Very Bad Thing(tm) if you couldn't drink. Personally I recomend Green Chartreuse as a good cough medicine. :-)

Which reminds me - must visit Alexander Wines when I'm in Earlsdon this afternoon. And must stop via Inspire for lunch on the way, too. And must leave... er... about now. :)

Well, I'm definitely taking a bottle of Talisker. Whether or not that's classed as "good stuff" is up to you... ;)

I'll only have powers, and a drop of single malt.

I still have a bottle of Laphroaig and an 18yr old malt I can't remember the name of. Oh, and half a bottle of green. I think they will all be making their way to Whitby.

Or you could just get one of those tesco own brand bottles of gin. The scary ones with a plain white label with 'GIN' emblazoned acros it in big black letters.

Tastes kind of like very sweet cough medicine, but with 55% alcohol. Kills colds dead.

Kind of, except that it actually tastes nice.

Absinthe tastes nasty, but has a large effect. Whereas Chartreuse tases nice, has only slightly less of an effect and is about half the price.

Also, by offering people a choice between absinthe and chartreuse, you can tell whether they're a bigger fan of Anne Rice or Poppy Z. Brite.

I'm on antibiotics, so will probably not be partaking of either, though the leaflet doesn't actually say don't drink... but it's folk wisdom, innit?

hehe.

Actually, I have a sweet recipe for an absinthe/chartreuse cocktail. I think it would be nice with a little Benedictine in as well...

That just gives me images of louche persons in cassocks wandering up to random goths and muttering 'Have you got a little Benedictine in you? Would you like one?'
