I've actually had a lot of success with this; you do get lumpy dehydrated bits; but since I usually only cook it for myself there's normally more than enough. The trick is to break it up repeatedly as it cooks and don't expect it to be looking like anything other than a mince like mess.
I had microwaved haggis a few nights ago. Lovely. Prefer boiled, but it's 1hr+ versus 5 mins. Unwrap and put in a dish, cover with something vague (kitchen roll, pierced clingfilm, etc) and nuke it :)

especially if ist been battered and then is being reheated with soggy chips!!
I guess oen of the adavantages of helping out natalie is I get to stay at her parents and the wondeful chippy at locherbie is with easy reach!
