Never microwave haggis.

*shudder* I can imagine the horror.

Because it explodes and coats the inside of the oven when you forget to pierce it? ;oP

An explosive revelation?

I have a very amusing mental image.
Hard luck.

I've actually had a lot of success with this; you do get lumpy dehydrated bits; but since I usually only cook it for myself there's normally more than enough.
The trick is to break it up repeatedly as it cooks and don't expect it to be looking like anything other than a mince like mess.

Boiling is the true way to go.

.. with your own microwave.

Don't eat it, either.

microwaving haggis is fine.. if you take it out of its wrapper first.. I take it you found this out the hard way:)

I had microwaved haggis a few nights ago. Lovely. Prefer boiled, but it's 1hr+ versus 5 mins. Unwrap and put in a dish, cover with something vague (kitchen roll, pierced clingfilm, etc) and nuke it :)

Noted.
