Hmm. One good band, two not good bands, in Cambridge. Or B Movie. I'll be where the Leffe is :)

I'd forgotten about B-movie. But I'm saving all my energies for Insanitorium on Saturday anyway - Adoration (about which I know virtually nothing) and Devilish Presley.

Well, I'm going to be at some place in Cambridge, and apparently there are some gothy bands playing or something, yes.

Nevla, while you're passing... when are you lot going to release an album, then ?

I wants a full-length copy of Non-Specific Gohst Story instead of the castrated one on the website, I does.

The album was recorded last year, and basically since then we have been talking to record labels and distributors to try and get the bloody thing released.

Big record labels are in a right state, shedding smaller acts and not investing in new and interesting music.
Smaller labels are either linked to the larger ones, or aren't interested.
Even smaller indie labels seem to be interested, but haven't the funds to put into it at the moment.

It's odd that we've done the hard work with the recording, it's just the printing and marketing that's left to do, but finding someone to help out is difficult.

Howewver, don't lose hope :)

We've got several leads to follow up, along with a few backup plans. Things will start moving soon i promise :)

Not me, but if you're going to be around on saturday, too, then I have a concert I'm in?

It's the Cambridge Philharmonic Choir and a band consisting of Kenny Wheeler and a few other jazz types, singing random gospelly-jazzy type things and a Jazz Mass by Scott Stroman, and it should be fun, especially if you like jazz.

7.30 at the Emmanual United Reformed Church on Trumpington Street, tickets cost 10 pounds.

You might be wanting the latest issue of Kaleidoscope to tide you over 'til the album arrives, then. It has a certain RB track on the free CD, in full... :)

Ah. Unfortunately, this gig is Saturday... that's what I get for using "tomorrow" when posting in the early hours...

I do quite like jazz, too. Bah.

Other band members are: Cennet Jonsson, Chris Laurence, Huw Warren and Paul Clarvis. I've heard rather good things about Paul Clarvis' drumming, I look forward to experiencing it.

Oh, and we;re being conducted by Scott Stroman.

That's good. Am I still ok to scrounge crashspace (and possibly a lift from P'boro to Cambridge)? I'm being hideously disorganised today, as you may have noticed...
