Anyone feel like a goth Easter?

The Beyond The Veil II lineup seems to be finalised. Details are here:

To be honest, I'd go just for Bella Morte and Last Days of Jesus. But the rest of the bill looks pretty good too - I've heard nothing but good things about ASP and Drowning Season, I like Escape With Romeo and I've not seen the Last Dance for years.

So, anyone else interested?

Yep, should be there, for Bella Morte if nothing else.

The Last Days of Jesus will be playing London on the Friday 2nd April at a "Buried by Monsters" night! With Devilish Presley and The Vincent Razorbacks.

Venue to be confirmed.

I'll keep you posted.

It depends, the is that, there is Dark City, and then there is the fact that I am very very broke at the minute...

Dark City has VNV and the Mission... I gather VNV are planning some sort of UK tour in Spring, and the Mission are headling Whitby a couple of weeks after Dark City. So neither of them is much of a draw for me. NFD, Seize and The Last Cry are all fun... but all of them play London/etc on a semi-regular basis, so...

Also, to be honest, it's more expensive (transport, extra nights accommodation, Edinburgh B&B prices, an extra few quid on the ticket) and an unknown quantity - I went to the last BTV, I liked it a lot, I know what I'm getting for my money in terms of venue and organisation. Plus it's got lots of US bands who've never played the UK before.

I guess there's also the scale of it - BTV is 250 people (iirc), in a pleasant hotel. Last time the bands, organisers and 'ordinary punters' all mixed and chatted before and after the event itself. That had a really nice atmosphere to it. Whereas DC talks about the "first 1300 tickets only". That's... ambitious. It sort-of reminds me of Morecambe and Jo Hampshire's Blackpool summer special...

*sigh* I'd really like to see both events flourish. But I can't go to both, so it'll be BTV, for purely selfish reasons - I think I'll have more fun there.

1300 does sound a bit on the hopeful side. Speakign of festivals, I suppose that I should think about sorting the Leipzig thing some time soon.
