(from [livejournal.com profile] mistressmalaise and [livejournal.com profile] ghoti, because I like the look of it and wonder what the answers will be...)

There are quite a few people on my friends list who I don't really know that well. So... tell me a good thing about someone on the list?

When I first met him I mistook [livejournal.com profile] sogoth for a drug dealer! He was quiet and brooding and wore a long leather trenchcoat. It was only later that I discovered he was actually quite sweet and innocent and known as 'Paul the Uncorrupted One'. This was seven years ago in his first year at university, and if I remember rightly he didn't stay uncorrupted for long.

I met [livejournal.com profile] skyshroud717 in Stoke on Trent when she and her companion asked my ex and me if there were any alternative nightclubs around. They ended up coming along to the local goth night with us and we got chatting but didn't swap contact details. A couple of years later after The Badger Incident she responded to my post on Heretics and it was only when I got [livejournal.com profile] lougarry to point her out to me at Whitby the following week that I discovered she was the same Marie I'd met in Chico's - the smallness of the Goth world strikes again!

[livejournal.com profile] firewillow came up with one of the more amusing upcoming twists in my Amber plot, and is moreover an excellent person with a wicked sense of humour.

[livejournal.com profile] girfan you know as well as I do, but she has a cupboard full of Amazing Gothy Trinkets and fascinating bookshelves.

Probably only one person on your list who I know as well as you do, and I'm hideously biased where they're concerned. Here goes, anyway. [livejournal.com profile] cyberinsekt has pretty much completely given up his CD and comic habits in order to keep me in the manner to which I'm accustomed.
[livejournal.com profile] imago is a complete style goddess and a remarkably good teacher, but I'm sure you knew that already.

Nuts, can't edit it. Must have missed a brackety thing off the tag. Argh.

I met [livejournal.com profile] mrbear at Warwick uni. At a sci fi society meeting. It was almost a year later when I worked out we were doing the same course. He finally got together with [livejournal.com profile] misstemperance. They make a sweet couple. Fluffy, and disgustingly cute at times, but never the less a sweet couple. As I'm sure you know.

[livejournal.com profile] lostdreamer666 Erm. I live with him. Hang on, is that a good/nice thing? First met him... well must be near 6 years ago at a sci-fi society barcrawl (Warwick uni). Wearing a loud loud waistcoat, and currently at the start of an engineering degree. Saw him several times thereafter - almost entirely through sci-fi, but as Kev is kind of a distinctive sort of person, was one of the few who I didn't forget the name of in short order.

's about it. I think. You have _far_ too many people on your friends list ;p

[livejournal.com profile] robinbloke is incredibly kind and helpful.

Among others...

[livejournal.com profile] ladycat is the most elegant person I know, one of the most beautiful and one of the people I admire the most for standing up for what they believe in no matter what is thrown at them.

[livejournal.com profile] adjectivemarcus is funnier than Eddie Izzard.

[livejournal.com profile] spangle_kitten is so pretty she took my breath away and made me sit squeaking shyly through most of the BiblioGoth meet, even if I didn't actually know who she was at the time. :)

[livejournal.com profile] robinbloke is an incredibly good friend with superb music taste, and is wonderful to dance with.

[livejournal.com profile] mhw has written characters that have already made me cry and dance around my room for joy and have got under my skin and inside my head.

[livejournal.com profile] imago is always there saying the right thing at the right time, and can make me smile no matter how I'm feeling.

You're on your own friends list, of course, so I could say some wonderful things about you as well. But there isn't room in the comment box. :)

[livejournal.com profile] edvamp has a very soft heart hidden in the midst of a brash New Yorker's body.
[livejournal.com profile] electrolyte sparks people into action, hanging out with her is always a fun adventure. She cusses, smokes and drinks most men into the ground, but is a true lady at core (though she may kill me for saying it :) ).
[livejournal.com profile] fross is a kick ass DJ, and deals graciously with me tackle hugging him when I see him once a year. :) He also makes a killer dinner when you take him up on a drunken invitation to crash at his place and arrive unexpectedly. :)
[livejournal.com profile] kest gives good advice, impresses me with her ability to pick up and move around the country, and is a great road trip partner.
[livejournal.com profile] montieth is very grounded, and owns cool military vehicles. :)
[livejournal.com profile] razorjak likes to pick up small people and hug them, letting us see what the world looks like from 6 feet up. He's also quite chivalrous, and I'd call on him if I needed back up.
[livejournal.com profile] the_axel is a fount of trivia and can debate you for hours on any topic. He also has some good advice for picking up chicks. :)
[livejournal.com profile] the_siobhan rocks. She gives me hope that I can grow older without growing boring. She's a great traveling companion, I miss doing road trips with her (though I'm not hard core enough to do the cross continent ones :) ). She's a driving force, supportive, very creative and other wonderful things. :)

Aargh, Chicos. Dear God, the memories...
I think I moved out of Stafford the year [livejournal.com profile] sogoth moved in. Small world...

I think the late time I was in Chicos was... 1985. Maybe a bit later. Definitely no later than 1990. It was dire as well, having fallen from it's heady days.

<ljuser=lilgreendave> is warm, knows lots of very important things (tm), is an incredibly talented musician, someone to be trusted, he is clever, funny, and makes a mean curry. He also likes green. :oP

[livejournal.com profile] audreygurrrll is sweet and bouncy and endlessly friendly! I don't know her that well, but from what I do know, she's ace!

[livejournal.com profile] mrbear I know from Warwick Uni...he is possibly the only person I know who can imbibe so much Red and still remain in the land of the living...

[livejournal.com profile] tya I only know from knocking about in Whitefriars and various goff nites every now and again, but his work ethic is possibly the best ;-)
